📱 Design and Display

Design and Build: It features a new flat-edge design reminiscent of the iPhone 4, with an aerospace-grade aluminum enclosure. The front is protected by a Ceramic Shield cover, which Apple claims offers the biggest jump in durability ever for an iPhone. Color options include Black, White, (PRODUCT)RED, Green, Blue, and Purple.

Display: The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display is a key highlight. It offers a resolution of 2532 x 1170 pixels at 460 ppi and features a 2,000,000:1 contrast ratio. It reaches 625 nits of typical brightness and 1200 nits of peak HDR brightness.

⚙️ Performance and 5G

5G Capability: The headline feature is support for 5G networks, offering faster downloads and higher-quality video streaming. It includes Smart Data mode to intelligently switch between 5G and LTE to optimize battery life.

Processor: Powered by the A14 Bionic chip, which is built on a 5-nanometer process. It features a 6-core CPU, 4-core GPU, and a 16-core Neural Engine capable of 11 trillion operations per second.

Battery and Charging: It offers up to 17 hours of video playback. It introduces MagSafe, a system of magnets around the wireless charging coil for perfect alignment and up to 15W of wireless charging. It also supports fast charging, reaching up to 50% charge in about 30 minutes with a 20W adapter.

📷 Dual-Camera System

The dual 12MP camera system was enhanced with computational photography features:

Main Camera: New ƒ/1.6 aperture (the fastest on an iPhone at the time) for 27% more light in low-light conditions.

Ultra-Wide Camera: ƒ/2.4 aperture with a 120° field of view.

Key Features:

Night Mode and Deep Fusion now work on all cameras, including the front-facing TrueDepth camera, for better low-light photos and improved texture.

Smart HDR 3 intelligently adjusts white balance, contrast, and saturation for more natural-looking images.

It’s the first smartphone to shoot HDR video with Dolby Vision, allowing you to capture, edit, and share cinema-grade video up to 4K at 30 fps.
